Session 1: Step by Step Job Search System
Thursday, July 1, 2021, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EST

Learn the big picture – Most job seekers are doing things in the wrong order or forget fundamental steps! It’s not intentional…they don’t know! Plus, the world of job search has changed tremendously since their last job search. This power hour will get you focused, confident, and motivated with exact steps to job search. You will learn the entire system and the order of each milestone.

By the end, you will have your plan of action and tools to work on your job search every day.

Session 2: Defining Job Goals and Requirements
Thursday,  July 8, 2021, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EST

The intersection of your skills and job opportunities – You probably have your résumé done, and you are applying to jobs right and left. However, we’re going to take you back to the first step of goal setting and researching your target position. As a result, you will improve your applications, résumé, and interviews.

This hour (plus time for questions!) will show you how to narrow down your target job type, how to articulate that to your network, and research the keywords that describe the role.

Session 3: Résumé & LinkedIn Presentation of Your Best Self
Thursday,  July 15, 2021, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EST

You are ready to tell your story! – We know you have been eager to write your résumé, but the prior webinars in this series are critical to do before this critical step.

Most of you have a résumé. I guarantee you will want to make edits after this session. I hope you want to start over, aiming for a more impactful communication of your match to the position you want. Plus, your resume needs to pass through a sorting ‘robot’ on the other side. The purpose of a resume is to move to the interview stage of the hiring process.

Your LinkedIn profile will be a twin of your new resume with a few added elements. You’ll learn more about how to network via LinkedIn in the last session of this 5-part series. It gets better! The work you do in this session will lead right into your interview preparation in the next workshop.

Session 4: Interview Preparation
Thursday,  July 22, 2021, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EST

You won an interview. Congratulations! – Now what? Don’t miss your shot! Interviews are the last step before an offer, and we want you to ace each one, whether on the phone, video, or face to face. Many of you are saying, “I got this,” or, “I’m an extrovert, I’ll be fine.” Well, guess what. Interview techniques are different, other candidates may be better prepared, and competition is fierce. So winging it or being “good” is not good enough.

You’ll exit this session with several frameworks to handle any question. Plus, you’ll be confident with the tough questions, and when the interviewer says, “Do you have any questions for me?”

Session 5: Networking Through People for Job Success
Thursday,  July 29, 2021, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm EST

Ready, Aim, Get Hired! – If you attended the prior four sessions, you have selected a job goal (ready), prepared your story in multiple formats (aim), and are now ready for the last stage (get hired!).

A LinkedIn survey revealed that 85 percent of open positions are filled via networking.

This last workshop of the series will deliver practical steps to move from an online application to “back door” networking. You will get a script and steps to network with total strangers professionally and ask for help to secure interviews.

The reason why this session is last in the series is that we want you interview-ready before you network! That way, you will wow your new network and be ready for a call that says, “we want to talk to you.”
